主讲人简介：张吉鹏，山东大学经济学院教授、博导，山东大学中青年杰出学者，曾任职南洋理工大学和西南财经大学。主要研究方向为公共经济与财政，移民、区域与城市发展。成果见诸于《中国社会科学》、《经济研究》、《经济学（季刊）》以及International Economic Review等期刊。曾获高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖，当代经济学基金会博士创新项目优秀论文指导老师，主持国家自然科学基金、招商局慈善基金会和中国人口福利基金会项目。

摘要：Return migration has become an important phenomenon across the world because of growing uncertainties in economic, environmental and political situations in migration destination and institutional barriers for the settlement of migrants. We draw on empirical evidences from return migrants in China and develop a theory to explain the impacts of return migration and evaluate their welfare and policy implications, through the mechanisms of knowledge diffusion and reverse fiscal transfer across locations. With an estimated structural model, we aim to answer important policy questions.
